In my opinion, Gorillaz is one of the world's last remaining great bands. What I mean by that is, they (he) doesn't seem to be doing for money or fame. If you have ever seen them in concert, they don't even show their faces at all. Damon is truly one of the best there is.

Ha just came across this song again This is the first gorillaz song I ever heard it was on my dad very old phone. I was looking through it and playing on it when I was 6, I found this song and thought “this is weird” then I found feel good inc, heard the laughing and got the shit out of there. 6 years later I heard plastic beach and was really into rhinestone eyes but had no clue who the band was and soon grew out of it. A year later I found their newest song new gold while searching for “golden hour” fell in absolute love and just went the the concert now I can't stop loving all of Gorillaz music! A young girl stands before a mirror. "All alone," she says and her reflection says it in return. She repeats herself over and over, getting the same in return from the girl behind the mirror. As she keeps repeating, however, the girl on the other side of the glass begins to shift. The mirror itself does not warp, but her visage does. The reflection actually begins repeating as an echo, saying the same thing slightly after the original. A sharp click and darkness. She keeps repeating and the reflection echoes, its voice becoming as warped as its appearance. "All alone." The lights snap back and there is a choir of disfigured reflections of herself to echo the mantra. As she repeats and they echo, they reach their hands out and through the glass. The grab her body and pull. The girl keeps repeating, unable to do anything else as she is slowly pulled through the glass to the other side.

this song has such a strange root in my memory back to when i was much younger, about 10 or so years ago i was up late at night, around 1am i think, and i flipped to cartoon network or funimation, i cant remember which. an anime came on right as this song came on in my headphones, and i had the volume off to not disturb my parents or brothers. i vaguely remember the main characters was a girl and a black cat, and i still cant remember the name of the anime. as i watched, this song for some reason shook me and made me inexplicably break into tears while watching that anime. i may love this song now, but back when that was a fresh memory i always turned this song off because it would dredge up those memories of unexplained sadness and dread, and i still think about that anime every time i hear this song, and it never leaves my mind.

Here's my take on the lyrics: Leviticus - oh, Deuteronomy. Snatched a piece I'm off wandering. Distant, far like yonder'n. Skin on my tooth like, skin on my boot like, fly in my soup like - where's the waitress. Can't take this really can't face this, these airs and all these graces. It's my mistake I'll make it. Straight up to the boom now make it bounce wiggle bounce wiggle shaking all them things out. Chemical cut-throats bound to blow the brain out. Cut to the pain, this ain't no game. I'll show no shame. I'll birth this blame, I'll twist the cane, I'll twist again, I'll push the blade as plain as day. Known to what these sayers say. Known to what these doers do. It's you and who and you know where, we's about to take it there. We's about to make it clear we happy oh and we lonesome. The lone drum, the beat hot from start to finish. Ten spoons of spinach, the soul and the spillage. The cup that runneth over, return of the ogre. Close your eyes and see when there ain't no light. All you'll ever be, come and save the night. 'Cause I don't believe. When the morning comes it doesn't seem to say an awful lot to me.

in this song i can clearly see where their backgrounds added into the music and i think this is the perfect piece to show off who the characters are to people who are new to this band and dont know the characters well.
